corner...
Kids love the spooky monsters, sounds, music, dances,
treats, traditions, haunted houses, and costumes that surround the holiday.
Originally, Halloween costumes were meant to scare off evil spirits. Now,
people dress up for lots of different reasons.
Halloween was originally called Samhain and marked the end
of the harvest season for Celtic farmers. This festival has evolved from rural
superstitions to big business traditions so its traditions have changed
significantly from their origins.
